FREE INFO. AND TIPS ON GOLF IN THAILAND

Collared shirts are always required on Thai golf courses. Some insist that the shirt is tucked into your shorts or trousers. Denims are not allowed, on the golf course or in the club house.

Shorts are allowed ( be aware that some courses may refuse admission if they are swimming shorts )

Soft spikes on your shoes, are a must requirement for all golf courses in Thailand.

Do not be surprised if you are stuck behind a 6 ball and they will not call you through. You are on a golfing break, enjoy the day.

I would recommend that you only play 18 holes per day, it is always hot and very draining. Sunrise to Sunset is approx. 6am - 6pm all year round.

Drink water for dehydration purposes, all courses have at least two watering holes per nine, where you can get water and snacks, plus beer if required. Also toilets.

All courses require that you have a caddy, some are knowledgable, some are not. Most are of the female species, and most are very knowledgable about distances to the green the lines and pace on the green, do not be surprised if they walk on your opponents line, or your own, or touch the green, on the line of the putt. The going rate for a tip at the end of the round is 200bht, if you want to give more, or less, it is up to you.

Generally speaking the changing facilities, showers at all courses are second to none

You may or may not need a hat or an umbrella to protect your head from the sun.

All courses provide buggies at an extra cost, usually two people can share and the caddies stand on the back, some courses only allow one golfer and their caddy in the buggy, some, but few insist on a buggy.

Should you "spray" your ball in the rough or water, I would suggest you leave it, there are some "nasties" around, but generally speaking nothing to worry over, I have played many courses and whilst I have seen some wildlife I have never heard of anyone being injured.

Take a plastic bag with you to put your mobile and money in, when it rains it rains.

Take your golf umberella with you, it will protect you from the sun, also the rain.

We want your business and the above info. is factual and not meant to sound negative. We almost guarantee you will enjoy your golfing experiences in Thailand.

We will get back to you within 24hrs.

All Course provide towels and a shoe cleaning service, mostly as far as the towels are concerned are FOC.

I would suggest that you take a smaller towel (flannel) size on the course with you in order to wipe away the sweat.

On a final note you are in the tropics and it can get very hot.
